Intuitive Bodywork ∞ Hands on Module
Trusting
For 6 days we will practice and explore rhythms and techniques, in our own bodies and with eachother.
The main purpose fo this training is to take the first steps on a much longer journey of learning to give intuitive bodywork sessions. You will also learn how to integrate the freedom of moving beyond more traditional techniques so you can layer But also to explore & guide self touch and to learn a more Somatic approach to the use of props, right? That’s an amazing set and we should advertise it like that :)
DAY 1 ∞ RHYTHM
AM Practice: Movement Class + Self Practice
Aligning to the pace and cadence offered up by the body, noticing and exploring synching up to what's there right now.
PM Theory & Lab: Theory on rhythm / corregulation /
What rhythms can you introduce to a body? Playing with vibration, tone, holding, sound, and learning about the way frequency finds ways to move things, mobilize spontaneously and how to help guide it or get it started.
DAY 2 ∞ DIRECTION
AM Practice:
Up & Down, in and out, diagonal, spiralic. Exploring
PM Theory & Lab: Learning about muscles and muscle fibers, how they work, how they release. Exploring how muscles and tissues attach through the body, working with the asymmetrical weave of tissues.
DAY 3 ∞ INTUITIVE TOUCH
AM Practice: Accessing intuition. Where do your hands want to go, can you collaborate with your body to find a type of touch that feels like its landing? Playing with translating intuitive touch into movement.
PM Hands on practice: Move your hands freely and respectfully on another body. Allowing intuition to guide your hands, letting them be moved, trusting every impulse.
DAY 4 ∞ RHYTHM
AM Practice: Plumping, sponging and circulation.
PM Theory & Lab: Learning how to get the tissues lubricated and well circulated. Exploring on yourself and on another participant.
DAY 5 ∞ RELATIONSHIPS
AM Movement practice: Fascial relationship, practice with balls, movement and hands.
PM Theory & Lab: Relationships is what the body is made of. Learn the foundations of the relationship between fascia, muscle and bone. Play with rubbing as a technique for heat and slow traction.
